Gaby Castro is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, poet, model, actress, and activist. Gaby’s upcoming projects include a 5-song EP entitled La Guerrera EP//The Warrior EP, coming early 2019, and her next album, Foundations & Destinations. One Man Banjo. A one man show. A ! 1manBanjo ! show is energetic, incites movement, dancing, the clapping of hands, participation & a couple of sing alongs. Combines old time tunes in a unique rhythmic fashion which is (though at times dark) a vibrant experience.
Todd Tholke is a singer / songwriter who has been living in San Francisco for 20 plus years. He hosted a successful community open mic for ten of those years . Todd has performed all over San Francisco and the United States playing music. Todd possesses a soulful singing voice and accompanies his vocal with an electric guitar. Embracing the folksy pop of artists such as Suzanne Vega and Sheryl Crow, Aprylle Gilbert combines stirring melodies with words of inspiration, joy, and – at times –sadness. In a voice both pensive and sultry that often hints at an underlying self-consciousness, Aprylle takes the listener on a trek that is semi-autobiographical yet familiar to most of us. Much of Aprylle’s music is uplifting and inspirational, though poignant reminders of a not-so-joyful past are ever present from a songstress no longer afraid to bare her soul.
Dano Kildsig is a native of West Lafayette, Indiana where he grew up on a steady diet of skateboarding, punk rock and country music. He made his way west after dropping out of college, eventually forming the band Transcendental Hayride in Hollywood in 1992. The band moved to San Francisco and has toured on and off, releasing several albums. Recently, Kildsig has been performing solo gigs and busking around the City, finding the lack of band members rather liberating.
Ted Harvey is a San Francisco Singer/Songwriter/Actor. Ted fronted local late 80’s Rock Band Mud Puppies. He has written songs for film and television. As an actor he has appeared in many local indie films and theater productions including a long run as Bodhi in Point Break Live. Ted is pleased to bring his narrative story telling to the Urban Air Market.
Manos Lindas is the product of what its name suggests. Blurring an array of genres and origins, each member contributes their individual hands for a collective sound that can’t be pinpointed. San Francisco is a cultural melting pot and certain aspects of that culture are fading, natives would tell you. The eccentricity, the color, the nerve, the beauty, and the edge: this is what Manos Lindas sounds like. Manos Lindas is known for melting your face and winning your heart. Come and bear witness to something you’ve never seen before.
Steve Taylor-Ramírez, a singer-songwriter from Berkeley, CA, has been called a “Critic’s Choice” by the East Bay Express, Bay Area News Group and UC Berkeley. He plays a mix of folk, Latin and blues. His music can be heard on Pandora.com and has aired on many Bay Area radio stations, including live appearances on NPR’s KALW, KALX, KUSF and Mutiny Radio. A reviewer at the East Bay Express said Taylor-Ramírez is known for his “fancy finger picking, weathered vocals…charisma…and socially conscious originals.” That should come as no surprise, as his great grandfather, Ignacio Ramírez, served as an education official for Mexico’s reformist president Francisco I. Madero.
